IES ABASTOS

IES Abastos is a Higher Education institution, VET School and High School. It is located in an ancient market of the City of Valencia, a 10 minute walk from the City Hall. It has 2100 students per year and we have more than 30 years; experience in education. Over
1400 students attend our Vocational Training courses and we offer blended learning diplomas as well. Our Computer Science (IT) department is the largest in the Comunitat Valenciana (Region of Valencia) specialising in both Lower and Higher Level Vocational
Training. We deliver certificates in: Vocational training: Microcomputer Systems and Networks, Commerce, Business Management Vocational training (tertiary level): ICT, Administration & Management of Computer Network Systems, Development of Web Applications, Cross-platform Application Development, Commerce, International Trade, Transports and Logistics, Administration and Finance Videogames and Virtual Reality and AI.

IES Abastos brings extensive experience in traineeships, employment-focused mobility, and European programs, making it a key partner in ensuring that the QSVI framework is practical, structured, and aligned with labor market demands. With active collaboration since 1996 with local enterprises, Abastos has developed effective procedures for matching VET students with work placements, ensuring high employability rates.

As an Erasmus-accredited institution in VET, school, and HE education, Abastos will play a crucial role in validating the standardized internationalization process during the piloting phase, ensuring its effectiveness in real Erasmus+ mobilities.

Currently in the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation process, Abastos will integrate the newly developed framework into its quality management system, reinforcing the project’s focus on continuous improvement, sustainability, and inclusion.
